New Appointment at University Of Ulster

Professor Roger Ellis, Dean of the Faculty of Social and Health Sciences and Education at the University of Ulster until this year, has been appointed to the post of strategic adviser to the Vice-Chancellor on all matters relating to the Dearing Report.
Professor Sir Trevor Smith, Vice-Chancellor, said: "Roger Ellis will help me to identify the opportunities for the University in the post-Dearing situation and to develop our various responses to the recommendations of the report". Welcoming his appointment, Professor Ellis said: "I will be able to contribute to our response to the most important educational and social policy document for a quarter of a century".
