A man regarded as one of the leading business guru's of our time is to give a special lecture at the University of Ulster later this month - one of only eight such events in Europe this autumn.

He is Dr Eli Goldratt, whose book 'The Goal' is widely regarded as having revolutionised the way executives manage their organizations.

Over the last fifteen years Goldratt has developed a body of knowledge known as the 'The Theory of Constraints'. It has as its core a process of logical thinking which has won a large following in industry, training and education.

He is a founding member of the Goldratt Institute, which has worked with companies such as Bombardier and Seagate. The Institute is currently working on a pilot exercise with the Industrial Development Board.

The lecture will be held on Monday, October 19 at 3.30pm in the Assembly Hall on the Jordanstown campus.
