High Performance Gaelic Games Director Appointed

Dr Eugene Young has been appointed High Performance Director for gaelic games at the new Sports Institute of Northern Ireland, which is to be sited at the University's Jordanstown campus.
Appointed for a term of four years, Dr Young's task will be to provide top level planning and coaching to enable the province's most talented players and coaches to improve their performance and Senior All-Ireland level.
"My main objective is to work with the county coaches and manager to try and indentify where they see their shortcomings in preparation for competition, and to help them get the most from the sevices provided by the Sports Institute for Northern Ireland," he said.
