Vice Chancellor Honoured In New York

Professor Gerry McKenna, Vice Chancellor of the University of Ulster, was last night honoured by the Flax Trust for his commitment to community outreach in the at-risk urban areas of north Belfast.
The Vice Chancellor joined US secretary of State for Health Tommy Thomas, and Mayor of New York Michael Bloomberg as one of the three honorees at the 12th Annual Flax Trust Ball, held in New York’s prestigious Waldorf-Astoria Hotel.
