Towards Better Sexual Health - UU Report

A pioneering three-year study of adolescent sexual attitudes by the University is published today.
The report, ‘Towards Better Sexual Health’, is the first large scale study in to the sexual attitudes and lifestyles of 14-25-year-olds in Northern Ireland, and was undertaken in association with the Family Planning Association.
The report details findings about sexual behaviour, including the age and circumstances of first sex, attitudes to homosexuality and abortion, young people’s experiences of sex education and use of contraception and sexual health services.
Leading the research team was Professor Bill Rolston, who said: “This survey provides ‘essential data for sexual health policies, services and education.”
