Winter Graduations Continue at University of Ulster

17th December 2003


The University of Ulster’s Winter Graduation ceremonies today move to Coleraine campus.

Students from the Faculties of Arts, Business and Management, Engineering, Life and Health Sciences and Social Sciences will be presented with their degrees and diplomas by the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ulster, Professor Gerry McKenna.

Mr Peter Canavan, captain of the Tyrone GAA team which won the Sam Maguire Cup in Dublin this summer, will receive the honorary degree of Doctor of the University (DUniv) at the ceremony, in recognition of his contribution to sporting excellence. Mr Canavan will be presented for his degree by Professor Jim Allen, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Student Support.
