UU retail expert Donald McFetridge is set to star in a TV documentary about mobile van salesmen.

Presented by the BBC’s Gerry Anderson, the short film will chronicle the social history of mobile van salesmen in Northern Ireland from the turn of the century to the present day.

Donald began filming at the University’s Coleraine campus today with producer Feargal O'Kane and researcher Denise O'Connor, a graduate of the University of Ulster.

“This promises to be a very entertaining and informative film which will chronicle the social history of mobile van salesmen from the turn of the century right up to the present day,” said Donald.

The documentary will be broadcast on our screens in the Autumn.
