Stormont Visit For UU Students
23rd November 2006

Students from the MSc in Communication, Advertising and Public Relations paid a visit Stormont this week.
After a question and answer session about the St Andrew’s Agreement with Sean Neeson MLA, Alliance Party, the students were given a guided tour of the chambers.
Gillian Clifford, Lecturer in Political Lobbying at Jordanstown said: “With a new political process potentially emerging in Northern Ireland, this visit proved to be a particularly valuable opportunity for students studying key issues on the Public Relations and Political Lobbying modules on our masters courses.”
The School of Communication will also re-launch an MSc in Political Lobbying and Public Affairs next year.
The course will be open to both full and part-time students and is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.
It will combine practical and theoretical components and is designed to give students a solid grounding in the practice of public affairs. It will also provide an opportunity for those currently working in the field, to further develop and broaden their skills base.
