Step-Up Magee Showcase

Pupils from the University's pioneering Step-Up programme this week presented the results of their Scientific Investigations to an invited audience of parents and industrial representatives at the Magee campus.

Dr Damian O’Kane, Director of Access and Educational Partnerships, said: “The presentations provide our pupils with an opportunity to demonstrate the high level of scientific knowledge they have acquired as a result of their interaction with our partner organisations. 

“Additionally, it allows them to further develop transferable skills - primarily in communication and information technology - which will be invaluable when they progress to higher education or employment."

Participating in the Step-Up showcase event were pupils from:

Lisneal College

St Mary's College

St Brigid's College

St Joseph's Boys School

St Cecilia's College
