Marketing for Success in the Social Economy

Social enterprises like any business face many challenges including how to market their products, services or facilities effectively, according to University of Ulster experts speaking at a Dungannon conference this week.

Delegates at a seminar run by Social Economy Solutions in association with the Rural Initiative for the Social Economy (RISE) in Dungannon on Friday 9th November will have the opportunity to hear from experts and access advice, tools and ways to communicate, market and sell to a range of users and clients.

As part of the University’s Business Liaison role to support the growth and development of social enterprises, academics Dr Rosalind McMullan and Professor Audrey Gilmore from the Faculty ofBusiness and Management will share their expertise with the audience.

Specialising in Business Strategy and Services Marketing respectively they will focus on knowing your product or service, quality service management, managing stakeholders and the importance of networking and partnership approaches.

Commenting on the event, Dr McMullan said “We are delighted to have this opportunity to share our knowledge and experience with the range of social enterprises who have signed up for this event. Marketing is key to business success and much can be achieved through good networking and communication”
