Lunchtime Jazz at Magee

The University of Ulster’s Lunchtime Concert Series continues next week with a lively lunchtime performance by the Jazz Big Band.
The concert will take place on Tuesday 13 November at 1.15pm in the Students’ Union, Magee campus.
Under the direction of Frank Lyons, lecturer in music at the University of Ulster, the 25-piece Jazz Big Band has established a considerable reputation since its formation in 2003.
Frequently working with jazz greats like Gay McIntyre, Andy Sheppard and Jacqui Dankworth, the ensemble’s repertoire is an eclectic and up-beat mix of jazz standards, funk tracks and contemporary pieces.
