Winter Graduations begin at Ulster University

18th December 2007


The University of Ulster’s Winter Graduation ceremonies get under way today at the University’s Coleraine campus. 

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Richard Barnett, will present degrees and diplomas to students from the University’s Coleraine and Magee campuses at this morning’s ceremony, while the Chancellor, Sir Richard Nichols, will preside over the afternoon ceremony. 

Over 600 students from the Faculties of Business and Management, Social Sciences, Arts, Computing & Engineering and Life & Health Sciences will receive awards at undergraduate and postgraduate level. 

Today’s ceremonies will also see special awards presented to: 

Senior Distinguished Research Fellowship:  Professor Roger Marchant

Distinguished Research Fellowship:   Dr Tara Moore

Distinguished Research Fellowship:    Dr Craig Brown

Distinguished Business Fellowship:    Mr Justin Magee  

Tomorrow, the graduation ceremonies will move to the University’s Jordanstown campus in Newtownabbey.
