Is Northern Ireland the Centre of the World: The Ulster Peace Process in Comparative Perspective

Dr Dean Godson, Visiting Professor of Politics at the University of Ulster, will present a lecture on the Northern Ireland Peace Process this week.

 Is Northern Ireland the Centre of the World: The Ulster Peace Process in Comparative Perspective will take place on Wednesday 27 February at 1.15 in the Jamieson Suite 3A on the Jordanstown campus.  

Dr Godson is Research Director of Policy Exchange with specialisms in Terrorism and Security and International Relations. He comments regularly on national and international affairs for The Times, Sunday Times, Prospect and the Journal Wall Street

 He is best known in Ireland for his authoritative biography of David Trimble: Himself Alone: David Trimble and the Ordeal of Unionism (Harper Collins 2004) . Dr Godson’s lecture will challenge what he sees as the misapplication of the Northern Irish model to other conflict situations.
