Business Awards for Top Chinese Students

The University of Ulster hosted a special award ceremony for some of its top Chinese business students this week.
Six students who transferred from Dongbei University of Finance and Economics to the Ulster Business School were awarded scholarships at the event, which took place at the Coleraine campus.After studying for two years at the Dongbei University of Finance and Economics, the students transferred to either BSc Hons Accounting at Jordanstown or BSc Hons Business, Finance and Investment at Coleraine.
The scholarships, worth between £300 and £800, were awarded to the three students who left Dongbei University of Finance and Economics with the best academic record and to the three students with the best proficiency in English.Speaking at the awards ceremony Professor Robert Hutchinson, Dean of the Ulster Business School, congratulated the students and highlighted the co-operation between Ulster and Dongbei University of Finance and Economics: “Since 2003, Ulster has been in partnership with Dongbei University of Finance and Economics and has welcomed a large number of Chinese students to our courses,” he said.
"These students have proved themselves to be very diligent and have given much to the University through their enthusiasm and eagerness to learn and I wish our current cohort of students all the very best in their studies.”The winners of the Scholarship for Academic Excellence were Fu Yuwen, Wang Zhuo and Dong Fangqiong.
The winners of the Scholarship for Proficiency in English were Duan Yongyue, Cao Xiaoqi and Cai Si.
