Winter Graduations Continue at University of Ulster
The University of Ulster’s Winter Graduation ceremonies continue today with two ceremonies being held at the Jordanstown campus.
Degrees and diplomas are to be awarded to students from the University’s Jordanstown and Belfast campuses at today’s two ceremonies.
In the morning, students from the Faculty of Arts and the Ulster Business School receive awards at undergraduate and postgraduate level. The honorary degree of Doctor of the University (DUniv) was conferred on distinguished sportsman Richard Dunwoody MBE, in recognition of his services to equine sport.
In the afternoon, students from the Faculty of Computing and Engineering, and the Faculty of Social Sciences receive awards at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
The accolade of First Trust Bank Distinguished Graduate of the Year is to be given to Professor Anthony G Gallagher, who graduated in 1988 with a BSc Hons Psychology.
Today’s ceremonies conclude the Jordanstown element of the University of Ulster’s Winter Graduation series, which now move to the Millennium Forum, Londonderry, where students from the Coleraine and Magee campuses of the University will receive their awards.
